ENVIROSHEET
Self-Adhering Sheet Membrane Waterproofing
Envirosheet is a composite sheet waterproofing membrane produced at a factory controlled thickness to provide a uniform 60-mil (1.5 mm) application. It consists of 56-mils of rubberized asphalt and a 4-mil cross-laminated, polyethylene carrier film. The two components are laminated together under strict quality-control procedures to produce an extremely tough waterproofing barrier.
Envirosheet membrane is supplied in 200 square foot rolls, 36” (914 mm) wide by 66.7’ (20.3 m) long. The rubberized asphalt is covered with release paper which is removed prior to installation. The membrane is cold-applied and self-adheres to a properly prepared and primed substrate. A cold-weather version, Envirosheet LT, is available for applications where the ambient temperatures will be between 25°F (-4°C) and 60°F (16°C).
Envirosheet membrane is ideal for waterproofing concrete, masonry block, and wood surfaces. It can be applied to foundation walls, tunnels, utility vaults, and earth sheltered structures. Also it can be used to waterproof split-slab construction, both above and below-grade, such as plaza decks, balconies, and parking decks. Interior uses may include mechanical rooms, laboratories, kitchens, and bathrooms. Envirosheet membrane is typically not recommended for under slab applications and can not be used for property line applications.
Envirosheet requires the use of a substrate primer, detailing mastics, and a protection board for all applications. Concrete surfaces must be cured properly and dried a minimum of 7 days for normal structural concrete and 14 days for lightweight structural concrete or non-vented pan decks. Envirosheet should not be applied in freezing temperatures or to damp surfaces.
Envirosheet provides an easy means of installing a uniformly thick waterproofing membrane on both horizontal and vertical surfaces to protect against the infiltration of water.
